Mangaluru: Assuming charge as the new Superintendent of Police of Dakshina Kannada district on Friday, Dr Arun K stated that besides maintenance of law and order, he will lay priority on bringing down crimes.
The outgoing SP Yathish N symbolically handed over charge to the new SP.
In a press release, he said the incidents of communal clashes and moral policing will be viewed seriously. The movements of rowdy sheeters and rumour mongers on social media will be under tight scrutiny, the SP stressed.
