Presiding over a road show in the run-up to the Global Agribusiness and Food Processing Summit 2011, organised by the State government in association with leading industry chamber FICCI here, Gowda spoke on the strengths of Karnataka as a suitable destination for agribusiness.
He called upon private enterprises to explore investment opportunities in Karnataka which promises to be a goldmine for agro and food processing industry. Sadananda Gowda was emphatic on his government’s focus for development of the agribusiness sector in the State such as coming out with a separate budget for agriculture and an Integrated Agri Business Development Policy, both being first of their kind initiatives in India.
