The Election Commission made use of videographers from Tamil Nadu to record the proceedings at the polling stations in the City.

As many as 45 videographers were hired from Chennai and Vellore after the EC fell short of the videographers. Each videographer is being paid Rs 2,500 for a day’s work.

One of the videographers, who was at Carmel convent in Tilaknagar, said that all the 45 videographers were booked train tickets, apart from providing food and lodging, free of cost.

The videographers will now move to Vellore where elections are scheduled for later this month.
