Elephant electrocuted in coffee estate at Karnataka's Chennayyakote

An elephant was electrocuted in a coffee estate at Chennayyakote in Siddapura on Thursday night.

The elephant had come in contact with a live wire. The male elephant must have been eight to 10 years old and was found dead in the coffee estate owned by Arun.

According to forest officials, the elephant must have strayed into the village in search of food when the mishap occurred.
