Elephant rescued from railway fence in MysuruThe male elephant was struck in an attempt to cross the railway fence

Forest department officials rescued an elephant which was stuck at a railway fence, N. Begur Forest range coming under Bandipur National park, in Satgur taluk in the district.

According to Forest department officials, the male elephant was struck in an attempt to cross the railway fence. The elephant was returning to the forest. On being tipped off, officials reached the spot and removed the railway fence to rescue the elephant.
