A herd of wild elephants have damaged the compound of a primary school at Gonimaroor in Somwarpet taluk.
The herd had ravaged the compound wall of the school at around 3 am on Tuesday. The school gate and the welcome arch was fully damaged.
Fear has gripped the children after the incident. Children are not ready to go to school. Even the parents are scared to send their children to school.
Members of SDMC have urged the forest department to repair the compound.
