Bengaluru: Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said that he will continue the legal battle against the Congress government in state.
Reacting to the measures taken by the state government to clear the alleged encroachment of 14 acres of land by his family at Kethaganahalli (near Bidadi), Kumaraswamy accused the Congress government of conspiring against him.
“I have become the primary target of the Congress government. I am observing all the developments. I had purchased this land legally 40 years ago. I will fight against the government’s action legally. For the first time in the history of this country, Special Investigation Team was formed for such a case,” the union minister said.
Kumaraswamy stated, “Even in the case of ordinary citizens, while evicting a notice must be served 15 days in advance. But I have not received any notice or official communication about the eviction so far.”
“I have served as chief minister of the state twice. I have never encroached upon land, nor engaged in any illegal activities. This land was purchased 40 years ago and there were several investigations done even in the past,” he added.
