It is said that bus driver Annappaswamy stopped the bus in the middle of the road at Industrial Area on the outskirts of the city causing disruption in traffic movement.
Deputy Commissioner, who was travelling on the same route, was caught in the melee. He got down from his car and questioned the driver for stopping the bus in the middle of road.
However, the driver reportedly gave a callous reply to the DC. Moreover, it came to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner that the bus, which had to proceed to Madikeri, had returned to Hassan from Kushalnagar itself. The DC immediately directed the Divisional Controller of Hassan to initiate disciplinary action against the driver, according to sources.
