Speaking to reporters at Khandya in Chikkamagaluru on Friday, he stated that the issue of 'Change of Chief Minister' had fallen silent four months ago.

"I am not in the race of the Chief Minister. I am determined to carry out my work as a minister", he said.

To a query, he said he had no idea about the differences of opinion between the CM and the DCM on the transfer of officials in the water resources department. If there are any, they will sort them out, he said and added that he has nothing to do with the expansion of the cabinet. It is left to the discretion of the Chief Minister and the AICC President.
