Shivamogga: A farmer from Harapanahalli in Vijayanagara district took women labourers working on his farm on a trip to Goa from Shivamogga on Tuesday.
Vishwanath, a farmer from Shiraganahalli village in Harapanahalli taluk of Vijayanagara district, is a regular air traveller. Knowing this, the women workers of his areca plantation once expressed their desire to travel by air. To fulfil their wishes, Vishwanath took all 10 women labourers to Goa on a plane.
The group boarded the Goa-bound Star Air flight at Shivamogga airport.
Vishwanath said, “I had earlier planned to take everyone to Tirupati by plane. However, since there was no flight available on the scheduled day, we planned a trip to Goa. We will return to Shivamogga on February 20.”
