Poor quality seeds are being sold at the Corporation. Seeds brought by the farmers are not being processed in front of them. Most of the farmers’ seeds are returned stating that they are of sub-standard quality.

In addition to this receipts are not being issued to the farmers.

Due to this the farmers in the State are facing shortage of sowing seeds, explained the farmers.

When the farmers in the State are thus suffering from shortage of seeds, managers in the  Seeds Corporation are selling seeds to farmers in the neighbouring states, farmers added. Joint Director of Department of Agriculture Nataraj visited the spot and pacified the protesters.
