Vijayapura: In a gruesome incident in Bellubbi village in Vijayapura district, a father-son duo was tied to a tree on a sugarcane farm and beaten with plastic rods and pipes on January 21.
Having sustained severe injuries, the two of them were admitted to the Vijayapura District Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.
The Babaleshwara police have arrested two people in connection with the incident, while a search is under way for four more suspects.
Vijayapura Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbaragi expressed confidence of the other suspects being apprehended soon.
