In a bid to exert pressure on the government to withdraw its order on school fee cut, a consortium of private school management associations has decided to stage a massive protest in the city on February 23.

The consortium of 11 associations will take out a protest rally from City railway station to Freedom Park. According to the organisers, more than 25,000 people are expected to take part in the protest.

Also, the private unaided schools in the state will remain shut on the protest day, which happens to be a day after the reopening of schools for grades 6 to 8. This will be compensated on Saturday, said private schools management representatives.
