The members took out a rally from Inspection Bungalow to the Office of the Deputy Director of Department of Public Instruction in the City.
The Government should bring amendments to Cadre and Recruitment rules, fasten the printing of physical education textbooks which is already delayed, scope for higher education to the teachers, were some of the prominent demands of the members.

The government should take immediate steps to fulfill the demands, the members added.
M L Kemparaju, secretary of the association, said the physical education teachers working in the Government Higher Primary Schools at grade-2 level should be promoted as Physical Education Co-ordinators in the Block Education Office.
The vacant posts in both primary and high schools should be filled at the earliest and physical education teachers should also be recruited in the pre-university colleges, he added.
Association’s district unit president L Hanumanthu, vice-president Srinivasappa, District Primary School Teachers Association president K L Srinivas, Taluk Primary School Teachers Association president Hanumanthappa and others were present.
