Raichur: A fire broke out on Tuesday in the coal conveyor belt of the CHP-3 section at the Yermarus Thermal Power Station (YTPS), destroying equipment worth several crores of rupees. The 600-meter-long belt that supplies coal to the power units, along with other materials, was burned in the incident. Firefighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.
