Yadgir: Five persons have been booked under Pocso Act and Prohibition of Child Marriage Act in two separate cases in district.
In a case under Surpur station limits, a 13-year-old girl was married off by her parents and she gave birth to a baby girl in July 2023. Again, she gave birth to a boy on September 7. Cases have been registered against girl's parents, her husband and his mother.
In another case, a youth married a 17-year-old girl he was in love & impregnated her. Police booked him under Pocso Act.
