According to a Kolar report, three persons were killed and 48 sustained injuries in a head-on collision between two buses near Narasapura on the outskirts of City.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when the driver of an Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation bus tried to overtake a vehicle.

The dead were identified as Syed Ayub of Jayanagar, Bangalore; Hanumantharayappa of Benniganahalli and Syed Aizad of Kolar.  The condition of the five is stated to be critical and four of them were shifted to Bangalore for treatment.

A Chikkaballapur report said that two people were killed and 26 were injured, 10 of them seriously, when a KSRTC bus fell into Veeradimammana valley on the outskirts of City. According to police, the accident occurred as the driver of theGauribidanur-bound lost control. Narayanamma (40) from Guvvalahalli and Muniyappa (78) from Marasanahalli were killed. Seriously injured were shifted to Bangalore for treatment.
