Belagavi: City Police Commissioner Iada Martin Marbaniang said that five teams have been formed for investigating the case of religious books being made away from a mosque at Santibastwad in Belagavi taluk on Monday and being set on fire at nearby lands.

“We will nab the accused involved in the act soon,” he told reporters here on Tuesday.

Marbaniang said each of the 5 teams had been given different responsibilities. “I have spoken to the people from all communities in the village. There is peace in the village. We have deployed additional police personnel in the village to prevent any untoward incidents.” He, however, said no arrest had been made.
