Mangaluru: The closure of airspace in the Middle East resulted in disruption of flight operations from Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Tuesday.
An Air India Express flight, which had departed to Dammam, and an IndiGo flight headed to Abu Dhabi on Monday evening returned and landed in Mangaluru on Tuesday, according to sources at MIA.
Air India Express operates 25 weekly flights to Qatar's capital, Doha. It has direct services to Doha from Kannur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchchirappalli.
