Following information given by villagers that they have spotted an animal similar to a tiger, the forest department officials have carried out an operation to capture the tiger.

The villagers had spotted an animal resembling a tiger in a coffee estate at Siddapura.

A team of officials have started the operation to capture the tiger. The pug marks of the tiger were not spotted at the site.

Following the tiger menace, the villagers are living in fear. The labourers are scared to work in coffee estates.

On the other hand, pug marks of a tiger were traced at a paddy field in Hathoor near Gonikoppa.

There were pug marks of a tiger near a pit dug for collecting water in the estate of Rohith Kushalappa.

Meanwhile, two cows have been lost to a tiger attack in Srimangala on Friday morning. The cows belonged to Macchamada Gopi Pemmaiah and Poovanna of Tavalageri.
