Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday laid the foundation stone for two flyovers and an underpass as part of developing the West of Chord Road as a signal-free corridor.
The flyovers are coming up on Manjunath Nagar Main Road and Basaveshwar Nagar First Main Road. The underpass will connect Shivanagar First Main Road and 8th Main Road. The two-way flyover at Manjunath Nagar Main Road will be 232-metres long, while the one-way flyover at Basaveshwar Nagar will be 388-metres long. The underpass will be 630-metres long. These projects will be taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 89.86 crore under the Mukhyamantri Nagarotthana scheme, which will be completed in 18 months.
