Four persons were killed in a collision between a truck and a Maruti Omni van in Mudhol town in Bagalkot district on Saturday.
The victims are Kaseemsaab Mujawar (42), Afreena Kaseemsaab (35), Shabana Noor Ahmed (38). They hailed from Kalakeri village.
The accident occurred near K R Lakkam School on Vijayapura-Belagavi highway. They were in Goa for works and were returning to their native village.
Preliminary investigation indicated that driver of the van fell asleep for a while and failed to notice the truck which caused the accident.
