A few Congress leaders have filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court, challenging their defeat in the Assembly elections and have cited EVM hacking as the reason.

Former Congress MLA from Mangaluru South J R Lobo, who was defeated by BJP’s Vedavyas Kamath, is among those who have approached the court. Lobo has said that EVMs have been tampered with in his constituency.

Apart from Lobo, M K Somashekar, who lost from Krishnaraja of Mysuru, Vasu who lost Chamaraja in Mysuru and B A Moiuddin Bava, who was defeated in Mangaluru North, have approached the court. All the three constituencies have been won by BJP candidates.
