Mandya (Karnataka): A four-year-old boy has died after accidently firing a loaded gun at Dondemadahalli, in Nagamangala taluk of Mandya district, on Sunday.

The deceased is identified as Abhijit, son of Shashank, a labourer from West Bengal, working at a poultry farm.

Abhijit was living with Shashank at the poultry farm's servant quarters. On Sunday evening, it is said that Abhijit reportedly took the licensed gun of the owner of the poultry farm and accidently fired it while playing with it. He sustained serious injuries and succumbed to it.

Superintendent of Police Mallikarjuna Baladandi and other senior officers visited the spot. A case has been registered at Nagamangala Rural Police station.
