Gripped by IPL fever, children in many parts of the City were out to play cricket unmindful of the scorching sun on Sunday afternoon. But the candidates in the fray offered a solution to the children to beat the heat in the form of scarves, with party symbols, for covering their heads.

At Yelchenahalli in Bangalore South Assembly constituency, some children were playing at an open field sporting BJP caps and scarves. A similar scene was witnessed at Yelchenahalli behind a mosque where children there sported Congress caps and scarves.

But the Child Rights Trust is critical of children being used as proxy political campaigners.
