The officers of Mangaluru CCB have arrested nine persons engaged in gambling and have also seized stake money of Rs 30,440 at Dambel in Kavoor Police Station jurisdiction.
DCP (Crime) Uma Prashanth has identified the arrested as Mohan D (28), a resident of Ashok Nagara, Aboobakkar Siddiq (26) of Kumble, Vinod Kumar (28) of Talapady, Durgappa Gudimani (29) of Rona in Gadag district, Mohammed Yusuf (46) of Kasaba Bengre, Sandesh Baliga (29) of Kukkundooru, Balappa Honnappa Horaginamani (27)of Bagalkote, Ismail (55) of Valacchil and Pammi alias Praveen of Kodialbail.
Acting on a tip off, the police conducted the raided and made the arrest. The police have also seized cards used for gambling and tables.
