Ganesh adds colour to TPMPL fest

Some were enthralled with the golden songs of yesteryears whereas others were enthusiastic for receiving prizes in the competition.

The grand cultural festival organised by the Lalit Kala Sangha of Deccan Herald and Prajavani had entertainment programmes for every age group who had assembled at the NGO Hall auditorium in Cubbon Park on Sunday. People glued to their seats from 9 am till the end of the programme at 5 pm. People who attended the programme did not realise how fast the eight long hours ticked away in the family atmosphere and fun and frolic they enjoyed at the NGO hall.

The function was part of the silver jubilee celebration of Lalit Kala Sangha of The Printers (Mysore) Private Limited. The programme got inaugurated by the Human Resource Manager R S Khadabadi. Various programmes were organised including fancy dress and painting competition.

The valedictory of the event became more lively with the arrival of Kannada film star Ganesh who distributed prizes to the winners of the various competition. The actor told the audience that he grew up reading Prajavani and Sudha. For the past many years his family is subscribing to Sudha magazine as his mother likes it the most.

People who attended the function could not believe their eyes when they saw the star actor of Kannada films Ganesh before them. The moment he stepped in, he was surrounded by his fans including small kids and Ganesh did not disappoint anyone of them and enjoyed their company. The film star enthralled the audience by delivering some of his popular dialogues from his movies and singing a song on public demand.

On the occasion, the Editor of Prajavani K N Shanth Kumar wished success. He encouraged the winners of the programme to continue with their success in future as well.
