Bengaluru: In a move set to bolster the morale of the state police, the Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) and Head of Police Force (HoPF) MA Saleem, has directed his unit heads to grant leaves to the personnel on their birthdays and wedding anniversaries.

Saleem, in the circular issued on Thursday, said that celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries is important to the personnel who "work hard towards maintaining law and order and safeguarding the public".

“Getting leaves for these special occasions will help them rejuvenate, spend quality time with their family and maintain work-life-balance. All unit heads have been strictly directed to grant the leaves sought by the personnel for birthdays and wedding anniversaries without fail,” Saleem said in the circular.
