In a press statement, the member of the Committee and councillor S R Muraligowda has said that while tender process has begun for construction of the dam, the confusion over the location of the dam is yet to be addressed. This has hampered the entire process itself.
The departments and agencies involved should sort out any issues that may crop up in executing the project. The elected representatives too should evince interest.
Unfortunately, this not the case in the district. Neither the administration nor the elected representatives are keen on implementation of the project as a result of which the people are put to suffering. People of Kolar, Bangarpet, Malur and hundreds of villages in the vicinity require water, whatever be the reason. He has urged the departments and all the other concerned to expedite the project for the public good.
