Students and teachers refreshed their memories during the ‘Sneha Sammilana’ reunion held at Government High School, Palibetta, recently.

The reunion was organised by the students of the 2001 batch.

The childhood friends met each other and exchanged wishes after 20 years. The alumni honoured their teachers and chalked out plans for the development of their school.

High school headteacher Gayatri said that the students of the 2001 batch have laid an example by taking a pledge to develop the school where they have studied.

The contribution by the students will help the government school revive itself, she added.

Vijayalakshmi PU College, Balele, principal J Somanna said that the role of alumni in saving their school is significant. The alumni association of Government High School, Palibetta, has done a good job.

Teachers who served the school during 2001, Prabhakar (headmaster), Shambu, Jayendra, Balakrishna, Jyothiprasad, Nalini, Kaveramma K U, Uttaiah, Kaveramma and Gayatri were felicitated.
