Govt hikes guest teachers’ salaries

Bengaluru: The state government has issued an order increasing the monthly remuneration of guest teachers at government primary, high school and pre-university college.

As per the announcement made in the state budget, the Department of School Education and Literacy on Thursday issued the order hiking the remuneration. As per the order, the remuneration has been increased by Rs 2,000.

With this, the remuneration of primary school guest teachers has been increased to Rs 12,000, high school teachers to Rs 12,500 and for pre-university college teachers it is Rs 14,000 from this academic year.
