Bengaluru: All healthcare institutions under the state health department in Karnataka must now upload details of all their medical equipment on the eProcurement portal and register requests for new equipment.
Complaints regarding faulty or dysfunctional equipment must also be reported via the eProcurement portal. This is applicable for both locally procured and department-provided equipment, according to a government order issued on Tuesday.
The assistant or deputy director of eArogya will be the state nodal officer for implementation while the district vector borne disease control programme officers will be the district nodal officers.
The Karnataka State Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (KSMSCL) will be the agency responsible to manage the eProcurement process, and it will also release specific guidelines in this regard.
