Bengaluru: The guest teachers at pre-primary sections of government schools must have secured at least 50% in II PU, besides having a diploma in Nursery Teacher Education or Pre-School Teacher Education or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or BEd (nursery).

Also, the department of school education and literacy has mandated that each pre-primary section must have a dedicated teacher and a helper. While each teacher will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 12,000, helpers will receive Rs 6,250 for 10 months, reads a department circular.
