The Karnataka State Haj Committee vaccinated individuals going to Haj and gave them suitcases to travel at an event organised here on Saturday.  More than 5,000 people from the State will be going to Haj this year and special flight arrangements have been made for the pilgrims, said Infrastructure Development, Information and Haj Minister Roshan Baig.

The first scheduled flight is on August 16 from Mangaluru and the second is on September 3, from Bengaluru. Baig said that six flights from Mangaluru and 11 flights from Bengaluru have been arranged to fly the pilgrims. Special flights from Saudi Arabian Airlines have been arranged. The minister said from next year all Haj-related activities will be held at the Haj Bhavan located in Tirumennahalli.
