Hard work, regular studies key to success, say Karnataka PUC 2 toppersThe results of the PUC 2 examination one were announced today with a over all pass percentage of 69.16.

Mysuru: Hard work, sincerity, self confidence, concentration, regular studies, solving old question papers were the keys for success, shared, three students from Mysuru district who have topped in the Commerce stream in the state; and one student from Hassan district who has secured third rank in the state in Science stream in Second PUC exam.

"Concentrating on studies, studying regularly for three to four hours per day from the beginning helped me score well," said M A Tejaswini a student of Bharathmatha PU College of Koppa Periyapatna taluk, Mysuru district who has secured second rank in the State with 598 marks (99.6%) in Commerce stream.

Daughter of M A Ananda, DRFO of Virajpet of Kodagu district and M A Sujatha, a home maker, Tejaswini has secured full marks in all subjects including Kannada, Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics, Computer Science and 98 in English. She plans to pursue CA further.

"By following teachers' guidelines, avoiding distractions and putting hard work any one can score good marks," Tejaswini shared.

"Hard work and studying for six to seven hours per day helped me achieve this result," shared G Dhatri student of Sadvidya Semi residential PU College, Vijayanagar second stage who has secured fourth rank in the state in Commerce stream with 596 marks (99.3%).

Daughter of K R Gururaja who works for Doordarshan and Akashvani, and D N Aparna a home maker, Dhatri has scoared full marks in Statistics, Business Studies, Sanskrit, 98 in English, 99 in Basic Maths and Accountancy. "If one has confidence in one's self, one can achieve anything," she said.

"Learning subjects taught by lecturers sincerely and studying for two to three hours per day, helped me achieve this result," said K Harshini of Sri BGS Girls PU College Adichunchanagiri road, Kuvempunagar who has secured third rank with 594 marks.

Daughter of R Kumar, who owns an Hardware shop and S Shobha, Harshini has secured 97 each in English and Accountancy and 100 marks in Business studies, Accountancy, Economics and Computer Science. "Besides hard work, solving old question papers will help score well," Harshini shared.

In Science stream, N J Pranathi of Masters' PU College of Hoysalanagar Beeranahalli of Hassan district secured third rank in the state with 597 marks. Pranathi is the daughter of N B Jagadeesha a high school teacher and M G Chandrakala, a primary school teacher in Hassan. She has scored full marks in all the subjects except 97 marks in English. Pranathi wants to take up MBBS and do Civil Service as well.

"She used to be busy from 8am to 9pm with school and coaching classes. Being health conscious, she used to sleep adequately too. Regular studies from the beginning helped her score well," shared her father Jagadeesha.
