The petitioner, VS Siddalingappa, a sand-miner was allocated 30 acres of sand mining block lease near Mysore on March 3, 2010. Following the new mining policy fixing several norms for sand quarrying, the petitioner moved the High Court stating that the new policy will affect his prospect as his lease period is still in force.
The court adjourned the matter.
