HD Kote (Mysuru dist): In a swift operation, HD Kote Police have arrested the headmaster of a government higher primary school, who was at large, after two sexual assault cases were filed against him.
The police, who registered POCSO Act cases against him, launched a search and arrested him, from a train in Hubballi, on Wednesday afternoon.
The headmaster stayed away from the school, after a complaint was lodged against him on February 25 for sexually assaulting a girl student. A second complaint, about him assaulting another minor girl, was lodged on March 1. Based on these complaints, by the BEO and parents, the police had registered cases against him.
After the incidents, the police formed two teams, to trace the headmaster, who was absconding. Circle Inspector Shabbir Husain and Crime Branch officer and his team launched the search and left for Hubballi, on Tuesday night. The accused was arrested on Wednesday.
