Bengaluru: Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundurao informed the Legislative Council on Wednesday that the department will soon initiate recruitment to fill over 230 posts for doctors and 1,300 Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANMs).

A day after the cabinet discussed on the internal reservation among SCs, the minister said, "With the state government deciding on the internal reservation we will now start recruitment at various primary healthcare centres." He was speaking during the presentation of the Karnataka State Civil Services (Regulation of Transfer of Medical Officers and Other Staff) Amendment Bill 2025.
