A division bench comprising Chief Justice NV Anjaria and Justice MI Arun was hearing the PIL filed by Girish Bharadwaj, who had challenged the February 26, 2024, order transferring two acres of Veterinary Hospital land to the Minority Welfare Department for the construction of a Maulana Azad/Morarji Desai Residential School.

The government advocate submitted an affidavit stating that on March 4, 2025, the state government issued an order revoking both the land transfer and the decision to relocate the hospital.
