Udupi: RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat emphasised that every Hindu must remain unwavering in their commitment to preserving, nurturing, and promoting Sanatana Dharma.

He urged religious leaders and saints to guide society more effectively in upholding spiritual values and national ideals. He was speaking during a programme held at Geetha Madir of Udupi mutt.

Referring to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, Bhagwat said, “Lord Krishna advised Arjuna to face challenges and not to flee from them, be it a war or any other situation. Similarly, the Bhagavad Gita, when presented in a language accessible to the common people, can serve as a guiding force for society.”

Earlier, Bhagwat visited Krishna Mutt in Udupi and offered prayers to Lord Krishna. During the programme, Paryaya Puttige mutt seer Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji honoured Mohan Bhagwat with the title 'Hindu Samrat' and conferred on him the Sri Krishna Geethanugraha Award, recognising his contributions to the protection of Sanatana Dharma.

He said, “Without the RSS, Hindus would have faced even greater challenges in the country. From Hedgewar to Bhagwat, all the leaders of the organisation have inspired countless people with their nationalistic dedication and lives of sacrifice.”

Senior RSS leaders like Mukund, mutt Diwan M Nagaraja Acharya and others were present.

Mohan Bhagwat received a warm welcome in a traditional manner at the mutt entrance with musical instruments, Chende performances, and vedic chants.
