Mandeera, Tambukutheera, Blue team, Odiyanda, Kaliyanda, Mandeyanda and Cheppudira teams have entered the next round of Highlanders Cup and Warriors Champion Cup hockey tournament organised by The Highlanders Family Club at General K S Thimayya Stadium in Napoklu on Wednesday.
In a match between Mandeera and Channapanda, Mandeera team notched up a 3-1 victory. Madu Biddappa, Preetham Biddappa and Shareen sounded the board while Channapanda’s Prashanth Bheemaiah scored a goal.
Tambukutheera steamrolled Kalachanda in a lop-sided 6-0. Bopanna sounded the board thrice while Deepu Changappa scored two goals and Sharan scored a goal.
In a match between Blue and Orange team, Blue team won by 1-0. Odiyanda edged past Mallanjeera with a score of 3-1. Kaliyanda defeated Mandepanda by 2-1.
Other results: Mandeyanda beat Markonda 1-0; Cheppudira beat Areyada 4-0.
