Kolar/Belagavi: Cooperation Minister K N Rajanna on Saturday said he will file a complaint with the Home Minister on the alleged attempt to honeytrap him.
"I have said that attempts have been made to honeytrap 48 politicians. I did not say judges were also targeted," Rajanna told reporters in Kolar on Saturday.
Rajanna said that though the attempts were made some time ago, he had decided to remain silent. "Later, there were media reports about a honeytrap attempt on an influential minister. Sunil Kumar raised the issue in the House and still I kept quiet. But Basanagouda Patil Yatnal mentioned my name. I responded only then as it would be lapse on my part otherwise," Rajanna said.
On BJP's allegations that the "director and producer" were very much in the Congress, Rajanna dared the BJP to name the persons. "I don't suspect anyone. I don't make personal allegations."
Meanwhile, MLC R Rajendra told reporters in Madhugiri that a "big man" was behind the honeytrap attempt. He claimed that he has complete information and would provide it to the chief minister.
Rajendra met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru later.
Meanwhile in Belagavi, Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi said he has asked Rajanna to take legal advice and file a police complaint. "It appears the roaring tigers were being targeted and threatened with honeytrap and CDs," he said.
