I-T sleuths search facilities of Kharge's close aide

The Income Tax sleuths on Thursday conducted searches at facilities of Kalaburagi Dakshin Block Congress president Neelakantha Rao.

Rao is a close aide of senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge. He was a Congress party ticket aspirant for Kalaburagi Dakshin Assembly constituency.

The I-T searches coincide with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Kalaburagi for campaigning of his party.

Rao rushed to his house after receiving the information of the I-T searches. He charged that the I-T sleuths were targeting the Congress party leaders and the BJP was misusing the I-T department.
