On the tip-off, a team comprising sub-inspector L A Manjunath and staff led by Excise Deputy Commissioner conducted a raid on the spurious liquor distilleries in Timmalapura tanda of Madhugiri taluk and Mudugere tanda of Sira taluk. They destroyed 375 ID wash, 14 litre spurious liquor and other materials used manufacture spurious liquor.
They have arrested Jayyamma of Timmalapura tanda and have registered two separate cases.
Excise inspector Narasimha murthy of Sira division, sub-inspector Chandrappa, Rangaswamy and staff were part of team.
