Belagavi: BJP MP Jagadish Shettar has demanded that action be taken against those taking the law into their own hands and creating a rift between Kannada and Marathi-speaking linguistic communities.
Shettar told reporters here on Saturday that there should not be tussle among communities speaking different languages.
"Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should speak to his Maharashtra counterpart Devendra Fadnavis and both governments should rein in such incidents," he said.
Regarding faction politics in BJP, he said, it will be contained by the high command soon. "High command has been observing all developments," he added.
