Japanese Consul-General Takayuki Kitagawa called on Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and held talks on improving relations between Karnataka and Japan.
Kitagawa became the first Consul-General of Japan in May 2017 after the Consulate of Japan was upgraded to an independent diplomatic mission as the Consulate-General of Japan last year. Kitagawa told the chief minister that many Japanese companies are established and have invested in Karnataka.
