Holenarsipur (Hassan dist): JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda put an end to all speculations, by announcing Prajwal Revanna as the candidate for Hassan Lok Sabha constituency here on Wednesday.

Launching the election campaign at Moodalahippe village in the taluk, Deve Gowda said that the party would soon announce Nikhil Kumaraswamy as the Mandya Lok Sabha candidate. He appealed to the people to support the next generation politicians of his family, as they supported him unconditionally for the last six decades. “Please show the same love and affection towards Prajwal, who will enter the fray,” he said.

Recalling his six-decade journey, Gowda, who was in tears, said, the media has been targeting him and his family members, accusing them of family politics, even though he did not do injustice to any community or person during his political tenure.
