A jilted lover, after stabbing a 22-year-old woman to death for rejecting his love proposal, ended his life by committing suicide at her house at Prantya in Moodbidri, on Friday.
According to DCP (Crime) Uma Prashanth, Lohith (26), a resident of Bajal, was in love with Charishma R Karkera (22) from Moodbidri. But Charishma had turned down his love proposal.
On Friday at about 11 am, Lohith visited the house of Charishma and stabbed her. The neighhours on hearing her cry rushed her to a hospital, where she later succumbed. Accused Lohith too committed suicide by hanging in the same house.
