Justice Bhimanagouda Sanganagouda Patil (BS Patil), judge of High Court of Karnataka, who retired on Thursday, was given a farewell in two separate ceremonies organised by the High Court with the State Bar Council and the Bangalore Advocates’ Association on Thursday.

He was appointed as the permanent judge of the high court on October 21, 2004.

Justice Patil began his journey as an advocate on September 5, 1980 and practised in the trial courts and high court.
