Villagers staging a roadblock in Kakkabbe.
Residents of Kakkabbe staged a roadblock on Monday, accusing the contractor of failing to restart the road work, connecting Kakkabbe from Kunjila Parambubane.
The protesters said that the Uroos and Padi Igguthappa Temple Utsava will be held shortly. The road should be repaired at the earliest.
The blocking of the road inconvenienced the motorists.
PWD engineer Shivakumar, who arrived at the spot, promised to complete the road work before March 5.
